Bye, Bye Birdie

Hi everyone--Sharron here! Welcome to the February edition of the 12  Kits of Occasions! The theme title for this month is "Bye, Bye, Birdie!" When the list of themes was posted I knew immediately I wanted to prepare a kit with supplies featuring birds. Birdwatching is a huge part of my life and it's partly how my husband and I met. You might be amused with all the bird decor we have in our home plus bird feeders and a pond outside! When putting my kits together I always look for the paper first. Actually this time it was harder than usual until I fell in love with a collection from Prima called Free Spirit. There are wonderful free-flowing graphic patterns and great spring colors. I also took the opportunity to purchase some new stamps and dies from a variety of companies. I hope the other 12 Kits designers found some fun images to play with and that you will enjoy your visit to all their blogs.

Introducing Michele Ferguson

Please join us in welcoming the newest member of the 12 Kits of Occasions, Michele Ferguson!

I couldn’t be more pleased to be “playing cards” as I call this craft, with these fabulous, talented ladies!  I am still a newbie in blog-land, and will celebrate my 1st year in May.  I started I Card Everyone just to have a place to post my cards...little did I know I’d find those I now consider my best friends – and life preservers!

In my days of punching a clock, I was an insurance agent, then a Mary Kay lady, then was hired as a Trade Show manager for a dental products company.  I left that job to attend culinary school at age 50, and still occasionally cater small events.  My best career choice ever?  I am now a SAHW [stay at home wife] to my very best friend, my husband of nearly 20 years, Mom to three grown/married kids, and “Grammy” to six...home really is where my heart is.

We are for some reason very fortunate to have lots of birds in our back yard ALL the time!! I love Bluebirds and have seen some gorgeous ones on our backyard!! We have a plum tree that the birds seem to flock under - We love seeing so many birds under our tree!!! This would be a super fun opportunity!! Thanks for the chance!!!
