The California Girls

Hello everyone.  Joyce here from Cards-by-the-Sea with a 12 Kits update..

There are 4 members (past and present) of The 12 Kits of Occasions who live in California.  We all got together at my house in San Diego to play along with PTI's Stamp A Faire.

The California girls are Cathy, Kim, Joyce--that's me, and Marybeth.  We spent Stamp-A-Faire together, talking, laughing, eating, and generally having a great time.  

We even made a card.  We decided to all make the same card for the Morning Take and Bake--a case of this beauty by Tracey.  Tracey could not make it to my house yesterday, as it is 2,579.9 miles from her house to mine, so we did Face Time instead, and CASEd her card.

August kits have arrived.

This month Amy is our hostess and she has sent out a great kit.  I'm sure you can see that this month we will be celebrating..........Christmas!

I am excited to get started and I can't wait for the 31st to see what everyone else has done with their kits!

July Kit Revisited--Christina

Christina here today, sharing two more cards that I made with the July kit.  The first one features the banner from Mama Elephant's Soiree, a few gold sequins from Ellen Hutson, and metallic gold baker's twine from The Twinery.  I think I could put this twine on everything!  The Polaroid die is from My Favorite Things.

My second card uses a fun, striped envelope from Martha Stewart Crafts.  I cut down a piece of cardstock stamped with the Hero Arts sentiment to place in the envelope.  The top of the Sweet Blush cardstock is embossed with polka dots, and I added a strip of glitter tape to ground the envelope.  The wood veneer stars from Studio Calico were colored with a Copic marker.
