Crazy for Coffee - April '16

Hello, Tracey here as the hostess for the April The Kits of Occasions! The title for this month's kit is Crazy for Coffee. For quite a while now coffee themed projects have been trending and most if not all stamp companies have been creating unique stamps and dies that are coffee themed. I pulled together stamps, dies and patterned papers to give to the team so that they could put whatever spin on them that they wanted. I realize that not everybody is crazy for coffee, like I am, but there are opportunities if you are a coffee lover, a tea lover or maybe you are not a lover of either but enjoy the challenge of making a project using these fun elements. Likely there is someone you know that you can make coffee themed projects for!

 The papers I used for the kit are Authentique, Durable collection and I added cardstock from Bazzill, Tim Holtz and Papertrey Ink. All the dies and stamps I used can be found in the Monthly Kit Supplies 2016 link at the top of the page on the 12 Kits blog. The theme being what it is I asked the 'queen' of coffee projects Amy Tsuruta to be my guest for this month.

Spring Fling - March '16




Happy Spring! It's Michelle (aka "Two Ls") here, and I am so very excited to be your hostess with the most-est for the 12 Kits of Occasions-March 2016 edition (my very first), appropriately titled "Spring Fling"!

This kit includes some of my favorite happy/Spring-y colors and patterns, adorable veggies, bunnies in many shapes and sizes, and, of course, flowers! You will find ALL of the lovely kit elements listed above under the SUPPLIES list.

I hope that you will have the most wonderful time hopping around (pun intended!) to see how each DT member has used the kit! I am always surprised, fascinated and inspired to discover what the twelve designers create with identical elements. SO.... prepare for a creative jump-start!

Watercolour Wonder - February '16


Hi All! And welcome to the end of Februay and 12 Kits 'Watercolor Wonder!'
It's Nancy Penir & I'm your hostess for this month.
I chose watercolors for all our talented team to play with. 
It's such a perfect look for ushering in Spring, don't you think?

January's Kit Winner Announced

Hello! I tried to let my 4-year-old pick the winning number, but no matter what he kept choosing #100. (It's his new favorite number.)  The only problem is there weren't 100 comments, so I went to random.org, and the winner of my extra January kit is Comment #2: Lynn from The Mango Boys and Me. Celebrating You - January '16


Surprise!  It's Lindsey again bringing you back to back kits. :) I hope that the New Year has started out wonderfully for you!  We're so excited to be back AND to be a full team again!  This new year of 12 Kits is going to be amazing...I can just tell.  When I volunteered to do January's kit a few months ago I knew I wanted it to be a kit full of celebrations.  The new year starts out so positive and optimistic, so I really wanted to focus on that and chose a color scheme that I thought would be fun and reflect that.  Halfway through I realized my kit preceded Valentine's Day (oops...should have noticed that sooner), so I switched things up a tad bit to be Celebrating "You".  My kit is a little scatterbrained with a little bit of this and a little bit of that because I had so many sources of inspiration.  Each element included was inspired by a particular family member or friend of mine, and my true focus was the sentiments.  My hope is that the cards created from this kit will uplift and warm the hearts of each recipient, letting them know how truly amazing they and the things they do are.  Okay, enough chit chat from me.  Prepare to be amazed by my incredibly talented teammates...

PS I completely forgot to invite a guest designer this month.  Seriously, how did that happen?  I even prepared an extra kit!  So...if any of you would like it, just leave a comment below (by midnight EST February 5).  I'm not sure that "winner" is the right word, but I'll randomly select someone from the comments and send you the kit.  I figure it might be helpful if you are itching to CASE some of these fabulous projects. :) Thanks so much for stopping by today!
