.A Happy Hello

It's January 2015, time for "A Happy Hello" from all of us here at 12 Kits, as we are excited to bring you a new year of themes and occasions...

Kelly here :)...I chose the "Happy Day" patterned paper collection from Pebbles to start off my kit. Not only does it feature some "Hello" paper...but also whimsical, fun colors and patterns and themes perfect for saying hello to friends near and far. The stamps and die cuts featured are from some fabulous companies including Lawn Fawn, WPlus9, Papertrey Ink, and Waltzingmouse Stamps. My favorite items to include in a kit are always the embellishments! I had so much fun picking them out for this kit...right down to the wood veneer planes and bicycles!

While this month is a Happy Hello to 2015, it's also a bit of a sad "so long" to two team members who are stepping down for now to spend some extra time with family. I say "for now" because our door is always wide open for their return...even if we have to add two extra months to the year ;)!

So this is just a "See you later, sweet friends!" to our girls Renee Lynch and Kara Vrabel!

We'll miss you terribly, but are so glad you are just a mouse click away! Hugs!

********SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT********

Would you like to be a Guest Designer in February?? The theme is BIRDS and we would love to see what wonderful creations you would make with our next kit. Of course, there will be lots of bird related supplies! So how can you enter our little contest? Well, just leave a comment below telling us if you have a favorite bird and whether you do anything special to attract birds to your home--feeders, ponds, etc. The deadline for the drawing will be February 4th! We will pick a random winner and get your kit in the mail to you ASAP. We post our cards on the last day of the month, which in February will be Saturday, February 28. Sorry but we can only accept U.S. and Canada participants due to mailing issues.

The 12 Kits of Occasions - December '14

It's almost the new year and with it the December edition of our 12 Kits of Occasions team is creating some projects for "new" additions to the family. Cathy Weber here, this month's hostess to introduce you to our December "Baby, It's a New Year" kits. I was lucky enough to wind up at the end of our yearly rotation and had more than a year to start collecting papers, stamps and dies for our baby kit. I used digital paper from Echo Park (Bundle of Joy Boy & Girl) as the basis of the kit and built all the elements from there. This month joining our regular group of 12 designers, I have invited one of my very talented and crafty friends, Lynn Mangan of The Mango Boys & Me to join us. With four boys, I am sure she knows a thing or two about designing baby cards! I hope you enjoy all the baby goodness the team has to share with you today. Happy New Year!

The 12 Kits of Occasions - November '14

Hello, my name is Kim and I am the hostess for our 12 Kits of Occasions this month. Can you believe it Thanksgiving is over and Christmas is just a few short weeks away. One of the things I love about the 12 Kits groups is having lots and lots of Christmas cards ready to go by the time Christmas arrives and they are so much fun to make too.

For my theme this month I decided to make Santa the star of the show! I love Christmas movies and actually love watching them year round. The Santa Clause is at the top of my list of favorite movies and I love the line from his sweet little elf Judy...Seeing isn't believing. Believing is seeing. I use this all the time at school and I am always surprised to see how many children can guess the movie.

Hi everyone and welcome to the October edition of the 12 Kits of Occasions! Jessica, here. I was pleased to hostess this month... fall and thank you, two of my absolute favorite things! I just love the colors of fall and as you all know I love cute images! It was so fun choosing which company's stamps to use and the beautiful color options out there. I also used this kit to help me get to know my Silhouette Cameo a bit better. The Pixscan mat and I became friends... after a few trial and error sessions, that is! (If you get this mat, although it does not tell you in the instructions, you must calibrate your camera... then it will work!). So the girls probably noticed that some of their "die cuts" were a bit out of the ordinary. By the end I had learned how to give the images a mat. I also cut out some cool words. Thank goodness my parents were in town visiting for Sonny's birthday or I may not have gotten these kits out. Thanks to my mom for helping package, sort, and even address and seal envelopes :) And can you believe my little man is now one?! My how the year has flown!
