The 12 Kits of Occasions - May '14

Hi everyone.  Joyce here as hostess for this month's 12 Kits of Occasions.  My theme this month is  'In the Navy'--all things nautical and masculine.  I found some fabulous nautical themed paper from Fancy Pants, and built my kit around it.  It's big on primary colors, and I thought it would work well for Father's Day and masculine cards in general.

My stamps are from a variety of companies--PTI (of course), WPlus9, Waltzingmouse, Verve, Mama Elephant and Altenew.   I also included lots of die cuts, and even cut a few things other than paper--cork and balsa wood.  As I was aiming for the testosterone set only--there is not a ribbon nor rhinestone in the kit.  I had such fun putting this kit together, and I hope that my fellow crafters had as much fun playing with it.

We are so fortunate this month to have two incredible guest designers.  In alphabetical order, they are Lindsay from Occasional Crafting and Sherrie from A Little Bit of Everything Me.

The 12 Kits of Occasions - April 14

April Showers Bring May Flowers!  That's our theme this month.  Jeanne here this time and I'm absolutely delighted that I got to be the hostess with this flowery theme!





In the Spring and Summer I'm surrounded by color from the beautiful flowers in my yard.  The rest of the year I try to satisfy myself with a garden of crafty supplies in a rainbow of colors.   The kit I put together contains pattern paper from Basic Grey's "Fresh Cut" collection, yards of May Arts ribbon, stamped floral images from Clearly Besotted and  Serendipity Stamps, and loads of floral die cuts from Memory Box and Poppystamps.

I'm sad to report that Christina MacLaren has decided to leave the group.  That left us with two extra kits to award to commenters from this past month. We're so happy that Erin Thiem from Homemade Cards by Erin and Nancy Penir from Artful Notions  - are joining us this time.

Hello there.  Joyce here with a quick question--would you like to join us next month as a Guest Designer?   I am hostess for May, and I've got an extra kit for one lucky commenter who would like to play along with us next month.  Please leave a comment here on this blog and tell me what is your favorite thing about the month of May.  May is a big month for me, as it is my birthday, anniversary, and of course, there is Mother's Day.  How about you?

The 12 Kits of Occasions - March '14

Welcome to our spring edition!  Well, I sure hope that it's spring near you.  Kelly here as your hostess, with a weather report that is just more heavy wet snow here in upstate NY.  That means March came in as a lion and is going out the same way!

When creating my kit, I thought that the "Front Porch" collection by Pebbles was a perfect fit with its soft pastels, vintage florals, dots, stripes, plaid, gingham, and even a bit of navy blue!  I filled bags with mini flowers, leaves, birds, butterflies, bunnies (cotton tails included) and Easter eggs.  You will see products from Waltzingmouse Stamps, Papertrey Ink, and Memory Box.

So off we go, with a spring in our steps, to see what these lovely ladies have created with the kit!

The 12 Kits of Occasions - February '14 Kit

Hello!  Renee here and since I was the lucky hostess this month...I'm popping in to share a little about it!  I fell in LOVE (and I do mean deep and complete love) the moment I saw Crate Paper's Bundled Up last summer and knew I would be using it in this month's kit...which the theme for this month is "Snowblind"...anything snow related...so it was perfect!  

And though I swear we did not coordinate ideas...when I started working on my kit back during the early winter...I had already started an extra kit figuring I would offer it up for a prize but then Sharron was smart enough to offer up a kit early for last month and have the winner also be a guest designer...so I followed suit for this month and our wonderful guest is Judy from Judy'sCardCorner so make sure you drop by and show her some love!

You can get a listing of all the supplies in the kit from the above tab...but it may take me a bit to remember everything I put in there. *giggle*  We'll just say I had a lot of fun putting this kit together!
