My Little Chickadee - April '18


Hi there! It's Lisa today and I'm super excited to be this month's hostess for our April post. I chose the theme {My Little Chickadee} as a nod to my husband. His hobby is photography and he has captured so many amazing photos of birds. Some of my favorites are those of the chickadees! I've paired pretty October Afternoon papers with some of my favorite Impression Obsession images and sentiments. I've included the complete list of goodies from my kit on our Monthly Kit Supplies page.

I've also invited my sweet bloggy friend Rosemary Dennis of Hey There...rosigrl! to be my guest this month! Rosemary has an incredible eye for design. I know you'll enjoy her little works of art as much as I do!

Many Thanks - March '18


Hi everyone! This is Jessica and it's my month to host our awesome group! I have found that the type of cards I need the most often are thank you notes (and I am so grateful that that is the case!). So I decided to do a "many thanks" themed kit. I pulled out a bunch of stamp sets, some that have been inked over and over and others that had never even seen an ink pad. With a mixture of images and sentiments from MFT, Mama Elephant, Paper Smooches, and Concord and 9th. Then I found some cool watercolor papers from Hobby Lobby that gave the bright and cheery color combo to the kits. I am excited to see what my fellow 12 kitters created!

Faith & Family - February '18



Hello!  It's Lindsey here today, and I am the hostess this month for the 12 Kits of Occasions.  As is often the case with my creations, this kit was inspired by my family, hence the name Faith & Family.  It is full of hope and encouragement and things I love with the intention of making cards for the people I love.  (You can find a detailed supply list of what I used HERE.)  I hope you enjoy!

Snow Day! - January 2018

Jeanne here! I am so excited to be kicking off our very first kit of 2018 here at The 12 Kits of Occasions! Most of us have been hit harder than usual this winter - more snow, and longer cold spells. With my 2018 new year's resolutions in mind (try to enjoy the "NOW"!!) I decided to embrace it!Remember childhood days when you wished you could have a day off from school so you could play in the snow? We were lucky to have a hill in front of our house and would fight to get our turn on the sled! I remember coming in the house for Hot Chocolate and listening to "Suzy Snowflake" on the radio and looking out the window for her. Why didn't my snowman, like Frosty, come to life?

Once I started working I'd wish that I didn't have to drive all the way to work for fear of getting stuck or spinning out of control. But it was still magical making the first tire tracks in the snow as I'd leave my house in the morning.

The kit I put together captures all the fun of a snow day .. from downhill sledding, to a quiet walk in the winter woods.

So bundle up.. put on your hat and gloves, and enjoy the magic!

Richard Breaks  - I think he's absolutely fearless!  Never afraid to alter and ink while I'm playing it safe!  Richard's been my guest since my very first kit and I am so happy he keeps coming back for more!
