A Birthday to Die (CUT) For...June 2016


Hello and welcome to the June post for The 12 Kits of Occasions.  Joyce from Cards-by-the-Sea here, and I am this month's hostess.  I love to make birthday cards and find that they are the cards I most often use.  I have so many wonderful birthday themed dies, so I decided that my theme would be birthday, with an emphasis on die cuts.  I found some fun birthday themed paper from Pebbles, and that is how I chose my colors.

I am excited to see what everyone created using the kit I sent out.

Here Comes the Sun - May '16


Welcome! Sharron here and I'm this month's hostess for the 12 Kits of Occasions blog hop. The theme for this month's kit was "Here Comes the Sun"! I didn't start with this theme but after planning to focus on florals only, I decided to feature products from several companies and include some tropical images. I love the watercolor look and found some pretty papers called Color Splash by Recollections. I also included images stamped on watercolor paper in the kit. It's amazing how many sunshine related products are currently available! Hopefully by now, things are greening up practically everywhere and those of us in the U.S. are looking forward to more time outside in the sunshine!

Crazy for Coffee - April '16

Hello, Tracey here as the hostess for the April The Kits of Occasions! The title for this month's kit is Crazy for Coffee. For quite a while now coffee themed projects have been trending and most if not all stamp companies have been creating unique stamps and dies that are coffee themed. I pulled together stamps, dies and patterned papers to give to the team so that they could put whatever spin on them that they wanted. I realize that not everybody is crazy for coffee, like I am, but there are opportunities if you are a coffee lover, a tea lover or maybe you are not a lover of either but enjoy the challenge of making a project using these fun elements. Likely there is someone you know that you can make coffee themed projects for!

 The papers I used for the kit are Authentique, Durable collection and I added cardstock from Bazzill, Tim Holtz and Papertrey Ink. All the dies and stamps I used can be found in the Monthly Kit Supplies 2016 link at the top of the page on the 12 Kits blog. The theme being what it is I asked the 'queen' of coffee projects Amy Tsuruta to be my guest for this month.

 Now all that being said, let's get on with the Blog Hop. Each one of the links will take you to the designer's personal blog where they have showcased all the projects that they have made with this month's kit.

Spring Fling - March '16




Happy Spring! It's Michelle (aka "Two Ls") here, and I am so very excited to be your hostess with the most-est for the 12 Kits of Occasions-March 2016 edition (my very first), appropriately titled "Spring Fling"!

This kit includes some of my favorite happy/Spring-y colors and patterns, adorable veggies, bunnies in many shapes and sizes, and, of course, flowers! You will find ALL of the lovely kit elements listed above under the SUPPLIES list.

I hope that you will have the most wonderful time hopping around (pun intended!) to see how each DT member has used the kit! I am always surprised, fascinated and inspired to discover what the twelve designers create with identical elements. SO.... prepare for a creative jump-start!
