Hello, Marybeth here today. I am the hostess for the month of March.

At first this was a hard one for me, then I quit second guessing myself . When I think of southern I think of southern hospitality, cooking , magnolias and farm. Back in the summer I saw Teresa Collins: “ Hello My Name Is” paper.  I loved the colors and went with it. I have a wide mix of products for this month. All listed in the tab above under supplies.

 While putting this kit  together I kept thinking of our dear friend and original 12 Kit member Renee, she lives in the South! I asked her to join us and she said yes right away. We are all so happy that Renee could join us this month. Nice to have you back Renee!

Bye, Bye Birdie

Hi everyone--Sharron here! Welcome to the February edition of the 12  Kits of Occasions! The theme title for this month is "Bye, Bye, Birdie!" When the list of themes was posted I knew immediately I wanted to prepare a kit with supplies featuring birds. Birdwatching is a huge part of my life and it's partly how my husband and I met. You might be amused with all the bird decor we have in our home plus bird feeders and a pond outside! When putting my kits together I always look for the paper first. Actually this time it was harder than usual until I fell in love with a collection from Prima called Free Spirit. There are wonderful free-flowing graphic patterns and great spring colors. I also took the opportunity to purchase some new stamps and dies from a variety of companies. I hope the other 12 Kits designers found some fun images to play with and that you will enjoy your visit to all their blogs.

Introducing Michele Ferguson

Please join us in welcoming the newest member of the 12 Kits of Occasions, Michele Ferguson!

I couldn’t be more pleased to be “playing cards” as I call this craft, with these fabulous, talented ladies!  I am still a newbie in blog-land, and will celebrate my 1st year in May.  I started I Card Everyone just to have a place to post my cards...little did I know I’d find those I now consider my best friends – and life preservers!

In my days of punching a clock, I was an insurance agent, then a Mary Kay lady, then was hired as a Trade Show manager for a dental products company.  I left that job to attend culinary school at age 50, and still occasionally cater small events.  My best career choice ever?  I am now a SAHW [stay at home wife] to my very best friend, my husband of nearly 20 years, Mom to three grown/married kids, and “Grammy” to six...home really is where my heart is.

Tomorow is our favourite day of the month!

We are for some reason very fortunate to have lots of birds in our back yard ALL the time!! I love Bluebirds and have seen some gorgeous ones on our backyard!! We have a plum tree that the birds seem to flock under - We love seeing so many birds under our tree!!! This would be a super fun opportunity!! Thanks for the chance!!!

We have had a large number coming to feeders in our yard this year--a good sign as some populations seemed to be recently falling off. 

.A Happy Hello

It's January 2015, time for "A Happy Hello" from all of us here at 12 Kits, as we are excited to bring you a new year of themes and occasions...

 Kelly here :)...I chose the "Happy Day" patterned paper collection from Pebbles to start off my kit.  Not only does it feature some "Hello" paper...but also whimsical, fun colors and patterns and themes perfect for saying hello to friends near and far.  The stamps and die cuts featured are from some fabulous companies including Lawn Fawn, WPlus9, Papertrey Ink, and Waltzingmouse Stamps.  My favorite items to include in a kit are always the embellishments! I had so much fun picking them out for this kit...right down to the wood veneer planes and bicycles!

While this month is a Happy Hello to 2015, it's also a bit of a sad "so long" to two team members who are stepping down for now to spend some extra time with family.  I say "for now" because our door is always wide open for their return...even if we have to add two extra months to the year ;)!  

So this is just a "See you later, sweet friends!" to our girls Renee Lynch and Kara Vrabel!

We'll miss you terribly, but are so glad you are just a mouse click away!  Hugs!

********SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT********

Would you like to be a Guest Designer in February?? The theme is BIRDS and we would love to see what wonderful creations you would make with our next kit. Of course, there will be lots of bird related supplies! So how can you enter our little contest? Well, just leave a comment below telling us if you have a favorite bird and whether you do anything special to attract birds to your home--feeders, ponds, etc. The deadline for the drawing will be February 4th! We will pick a random winner and get your kit in the mail to you ASAP. We post our cards on the last day of the month, which in February will be Saturday, February 28. Sorry but we can only accept U.S. and Canada participants due to mailing issues.

The 12 Kits of Occasions - December '14

It's almost the new year and with it the December edition of our 12 Kits of Occasions team is creating some projects for "new" additions to the family.  Cathy Weber here, this month's hostess to introduce you to our December "Baby, It's a New Year" kits.  I was lucky enough to wind up at the end of our yearly rotation and had more than a year to start collecting papers, stamps and dies for our baby kit.  I used digital paper from Echo Park (Bundle of Joy Boy & Girl) as the basis of the kit and built all the elements from there.  For a complete listing of the kit ingredients, just click on the 2014 Monthly Kit Supplies tab at the top of the page.  This month joining our regular group of 12 designers, I have invited one of my very talented and crafty friends, Lynn Mangan of The Mango Boys & Me to join us.  With four boys, I am sure she knows a thing or two about designing baby cards!  I hope you enjoy all the baby goodness the team has to share with you today.   Happy New Year!
